Paper Trade Goes Global — the 21st Paper Expo China Closes in Guangzhou

On May 15, 2026, the three-day 21st Guangzhou International Paper Expo & Paper-based Materials Expo came to a successful close at Poly World Trade Centre Expo in Guangzhou. Under the banner "Global Paper Trade, Gathering in Guangzhou", the show built an efficient trade bridge for the global paper industry.

The whole supply chain, six themed zones

The expo is hosted by paper industry associations from Guangdong, Jiangsu, Henan, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Guangxi, Fujian, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hebei, Shanxi, Hunan and Yunnan, together with the Shandong Light Industry Machinery Association, and supported by international bodies including the Pakistan Paper Merchants Association, Indian Pulp & Paper Technical Association, Myanmar Pulp & Paper Industry Association and British Paper & Board Industry Technical Association. Guangzhou AUCH Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. serves as the organizer.

More than 200 outstanding Chinese and international companies presented innovations across pulp & paper technology, equipment, paper-based materials, chemicals, packaging, molded pulp, environmental technologies and smart factories. Six themed zones — Paper, Paper-based Materials, Paper-replacing-plastics, Pulp & Paper Technology, Paper Chemicals and International Sourcing — formed a one-stop sourcing platform for mills, distributors, printers, packaging converters and end users.

Meeting the global market through paper

Across three days, paper producers, equipment makers, buyers, suppliers and distributors from around the world met on the show floor. The Pakistan Paper Merchants Association has organized high-level sourcing delegations for years in a row, arriving with concrete purchasing programs — a living proof of the expo’s role in helping Chinese paper products, equipment and technologies go global.

Concurrent forums on industry trends

The 9th Ten-Province Paper Industry Exchange and the 2026 Forum on Paper-based Materials Application & Technology ran alongside the expo, where experts, scholars and business leaders discussed policy, global markets, pulp & paper dynamics, green & low-carbon transition, smart manufacturing and new materials.
